BTHA members are able to list their travel clinics free of charge on this website. As the BTHA website is highly visible to search engines, members of the public searching for travel health advice on the internet are likely to find their way to your clinic. Research grant of up to £500

BTHA members are able to apply for a grant up to a maximum of £500 towards the cost of theoir personal research projects.


Education Bursary of up to £300

BTHA members are able to apply for an educational bursary up to a maximum of £300 towards the cost of an approved course of study.


Four issues of Travel Wise per year

Travel Wise is the BTHA’s quarterly multi-page newsletter published in colour. It contains a mixture of current topics, review articles, book reviews, anecdotal travel tales and expert responses to frequently asked questions which will help to keep members both entertained and up to date.


Two issues of the BTHA Journal per year

The BTHA Journal is published twice a year. It contains original articles, reports on original research, review articles and updates on specific areas or travel medicine

Reduced fee for the BTHA Annual Scientific Meeting

BTHA members are given a preferential rate for the Association’s Annual Scientific Meeting, a lively conference that provides the opportunity for members not only to hear presentations from expert speakers and topical debates but also to meet each other and chat to the experts.


Access to research groups

BTHA now has a research network of around 100 members who are able to co-operate in research projects.


BTHA Faculty of Travel Medicine bursary

BTHA is able to offer a limited number of bursaries as a contribution to the entry fee for the Faculty of Travel Medicine’s Membership examination.


Free access to BTHA publications online

BTHA members have access to previous editions of Travel Wise and the BTHA Journal at no cost. They also have access to Clinical Topics, a series of online articles on specific topics within the field of travel medicine, as an additional means of keeping up to date with knowledge and best practice. Clinical Topics are already searchable by keyword and we are currently in the process of adding to this searchable archive research and review papers published in the BTHA Journal
